My Megabonus account is blocked. How can I unblock it?

Why is my Megabonus account blocked?

The account can be blocked due to unsanctioned entry. It can be an entry from a different IP address or unusual device.

After we check the data, we can decide to block the account to ensure your safety. You can always unblock your account later.

Your account in Megabonus is as protected as your email address.

The signs of a blocked account in a browser are:

  • A message appearing on your screen saying that your account is blocked. The notification  under “My payment information” tab and  “My settings. ” tab would appear.

  • You wouldn’t be able to see gear wheels - that you usually could change your payment information with, the same for the login and password reset.

Your account is blocked on a mobile device in case you can’t enter your Settings tab. The application will shut down once you try to do that.

A message in the Stores menu will appear notifying you that the account is blocked.

If your Megabonus account is blocked you need to do the following:

1) Change the password on your email and the answer to the secret question.

2) Contact our Customer support team. Choose “Ask a question” option

in “Account security questions” 

and we will assist you with the details.

Please ensure your account’s safety at all times.

Here are some tips on how to keep your account safe:

  • Use different passwords for each email address. Otherwise, you risk giving all information to the hacker in case of cyber attack.
  • Create difficult passwords consisting of digits and letters.  Passwords like qwerty123, vladivostok2000 are considered high risk in case of the hack.
  • It’s a great idea not to use personal information like a birthday or a phone number in your password.
  • Always log out in case you’re using a public or a work computer.
  • Change your password from time to time.
  • Never follow the links from the unknown emails, it may be a copy of a famous website created by hackers to get the necessary information.
  • Keep your personal information to yourself.  While we realize that sometimes you may need somebody’s assistance, it’s always a great idea to change your password afterward.
  • Download or stream the files from the internet from a secure website. Getting a virus without even knowing is something everybody wants to avoid.
  • Hackers don’t always change the passwords so in case you see the email saying that your information in Megabonus is updated and it wasn’t you - change the password and contact our Customer support for more details.
