My Megabonus account is blocked. How can I unblock it?

When an account is blocked, an email is sent to each user informing them of this.

How do I know if my account is blocked?

If an account is blocked, a notification will appear on each project page. It can easily be seen at the top of the screen. It will alert you to the restricted functionality and suggest that you contact the Customer Support Service.

You will also be able to see information about blocking when you click on your avatar.

In this case, the buttons for requesting a payment, changing details, login and other data will not be clickable in the "Settings" and "My wallet" sections.

How do I know if my account is blocked in Megabonus app?

If your account is blocked, a window will appear when you log in to the application to inform you of this. This window will also appear when you try to perform a number of actions: changing your password or login, changing your details, requesting a payment, etc. An example can be seen in the picture to the left. 

The sections "My wallet" and "Profile" will also show the blocking information at the top of the screen. An example can be seen in the picture to the right.

Why can my account be blocked?

You can find out the exact reason for blocking by contacting the Customer Support Service. There are a total of 3 possible account blocking options:

  •          The first is security blocking. This means that the account is suspicious or a third party has definitely entered the account. This blocking is always temporary, but we may ask for more information in order to remove it. These measures are taken by us in order to protect users from withdrawal of the accumulated funds by malefactors.
  •          The second is blocking by checking the possibility of abuse of the service's loyalty. In some cases, we may ask for more information in order to check orders more closely. There is no need to worry about this. We just want to make sure that everything is in order. When we have received all the necessary data, we will remove the blocking and monitor the account for a while. 

Here is a list of reasons for additional checking:

 -     Very frequent orders in a row with the same amount of money or in shops that do not require it. For example, buying 10 consecutive chandeliers or SIM cards in one or more days.

-      Several orders in a short period of time with very large sums. 

-   Large number of order cancellations in current or multiple accounts (except apparel shops, where refunds are generally possible), large number of open disputes on AliExpress

-     Actions that contradict the logic of the order and indicate an attempt at unfair use

  •          The third is blocking on abuse of service loyalty. Sometimes we have to block an account because of violations of the service rules. If someone misbehaves and violates them, this can negatively affect our reputation and have other negative consequences. This is why this blocking is permanent.

Here is a list of serious violations that can lead to blocking:

- A complaint from the shop about the order(s) or otherwise revealing a violation of the shop's terms and conditions;

- Violation of laws, as well as of the terms, conditions, user agreement and other documents posted on the Megabonus website. Especially in cases where the violations are of a systematic nature. 

What should I do if my account is blocked?

1.    The first point relates to security blocking. The reason for data protection should be any unauthorised interference: password reset by a third party, change of details, request for payment. If signs of hacking have been detected, it is better to take action immediately to improve security.

To do this, change your email password and the answer to the control question to regain access to the email. If possible, set up two-factor authentication.
